About Me

As a child, I studied maps. As an adult, putting pins on them to denote places visited became an obsession. About 20 years ago, I  started documenting my travels in words and photos. Seven continents and nearly 100 countries later, here I am.

My stories have appeared in many publications, including BBC.com, The Toronto Star, The Brussels Times Magazine and the late ART + DESIGN magazine. In 2022, I received the first place M.F.K. Fisher Prize from Les Dames d'Escoffier International for a story about food and culture.
